Everything on WorkoutHealthy Insider is written for general information. It is not medical advice.
What that means
We are not your doctor, your physical therapist, or your dietitian. We have never examined you. We do not know your history, your medications, your injuries, or your risks. Nothing on this site is meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing here should take the place of care from a qualified professional.
Talk to a professional first
Check with a doctor before you start a new exercise program, change your diet in a big way, take a supplement, or train around an injury, a pregnancy, or a health condition. That goes double if you have heart trouble, high blood pressure, diabetes, a joint problem, or you have been away from exercise for a long time.
If something hurts, stop. Pain during exercise is information, not something to push through.
About the research we cite
We link the studies we use and we try to describe them honestly, including what they could not prove. Research changes. A study that looked solid a few years ago can be overturned. An article on this site reflects what we understood on the day we published or last updated it.
About celebrity routines
When we describe how a well known person trains or eats, we are reporting what was said, not recommending it. Professional athletes and actors train with coaches, medical staff, and time that most people do not have. Some of what they do would be a bad idea for the rest of us. We are not telling you to copy it.
Weight and eating
We write about calories, weight change, and nutrition. We try to do it without shame and without promises. If you are dealing with an eating disorder or a difficult relationship with food, please talk with a qualified professional. A general fitness article is not the right tool for that, and we are not going to pretend it is.
In an emergency
If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number right away. Do not wait, and do not go looking for an answer on a website.
Your responsibility
You choose what to do with what you read here. Any exercise or diet change carries some risk. WorkoutHealthy LLC is not responsible for injury, illness, or loss that follows from something you read on this site.
